Homeward bound (the long way)

Got up early this morning and went out for another surf to Manu Bay,swell had dropped off alot since yesterday (and it wasn't as cold) ......Ya gotta love those "DAWNYS"

By the time I got back to our accom the weather had cleared up enough for Mana to venture out into the garden for a look see (she loved how the pathway "scrunched" a she walked)

We all packed up and went into the township to explore the local shops.

At the entrance to the harbour I noticed a Pohutukawa tree was flowering (very unusual for this time of the year) but a welcome surprise to see that despite the cool weather of late a change of season was on its way...... and so with the
sun shinning we left Whaingaroa behind (Whai stingray- nga the- roa long )

The drive back was.....well just so relaxing and with the assistance of my trusty Navman Pin570 we took the road least travelled and for K and I we both ohhh-ed and ahhhh-ed around every bend (there were a few)
Just really turned out to be a beautiful day for a drive.
Past the Turkeys, the Banded Galloway and the new born lambs to have a stop and a soak in the thermally heated waters in the aptly named Waingaro Hot Springs (Wai-water ngaro- lost or hidden)
