Garden

Well that time has come to look back on 2008 and to pay abit of respect to good ole Mother Earth or Papatuanuku for providing the whanau with a good supply of peas, spinach, cauliflower, corn, tomatoes Carrots (actually not that great with these) pumpkin and watermelon.

The other day Mana and I re dug everything and we have set about planting the next seasons crops......not so much fun now as the weather has turned a bit yukky but all the same we had abit of fun.
So far we have planted Spinach (again) Spring onions ,Chinese Cabbage,Radish and I'm just waiting for our seed potatoes to sprout.

I really love getting in (more correctly out) and growing things and both Mana and I have graduated to the next level we are now at the stage where we know the difference between a weed and a veggie plant hahaha

As I write this our "Winter" crop has already started to provide us with the odd veggie or two :)

Easter 09

All set and ready to go Easter 2009 was shaping up to be quite a nice wee event at the Waiariki whare.
After coming off 5 days straight of alittle bit silly early shift on Airbus I was super looking forward to spending some time away from work and with the whanau.

I had hidden some little treats around the house along with a list of clues to figure out and Mana was all over it she was dashing from one end of the house (inside and out) like her tail was on fire. (gee what some people will do for chocolate)

To complete the "Easter" experience take one small (and cute) chocolate Easter bunny....
Place said small and cute in plastic bag..............give child large (and heavy) rolling pin (WARNING do not give a 6 year old a carpenters hammer for this task)........AND smash!!!
